This bike is named after our favourite mountain in the Karakoram Himalayas. Situated in the Gilgit-Baltistan territory of northern Pakistan, at 7,788 metres it towers over the Karakoram Highway and is a truly awesome site.

This hardtail offers our usual high quality titanium frame using 3Al-2.5V tubing (with lifetime guarantee) and has been designed to combine full on single track fun twinned with the practicality of being able to rack-up, throw on some luggage and head off into the wilderness or head off to your local MTB race, setup camp and then explore or race.

The Rakaposhi is running a mullet and comes configured with a 29” front wheel and 27.5” rear, you can switch to 29” front and rear at anytime and we can spec it like that on purchase if you choose. The geometry is purposefully slack with a 64 degree head tube angle and a 76.5 degree seat tube angle and we use 435mm & 440mm (size dependent) chain stays to create a flowing stable ride.

Depending on how you feel like riding, you can change the feel and focus of the bike via the mullet system and by adjusting the amount of fork travel.

If you ran both wheels on 29”s and the forks at 140mm the bike would feel in a XC mood, but if you switched to the 27.5” mullet on the rear wheel and jacked the forks up to 170mm it would transform the ride to a more relaxed enduro feel. For touring it will come down to personal taste and the type of roads you will be traveling on your next adventure, but you can have a lot of fun trying different setups.
