Greenrock and charity fundraising
...............................................................................................
Joe Mearns, the founder of Greenrock, was Events Manager for Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, UK. There are few people in the world who combine Joe’s expertise in the charity fundraising world with such a deep love of the outdoors and experience of leading adventure tours.
Greenrock’s team have run events for charities with group sizes from ten to over a thousand, and from one-day events to our three-week ‘Real Tour of France’ where we lead amateur cyclists around the Tour de France route. Our challenges offer excellent opportunities for charities to attract sponsors and motivate individual fundraisers with the promise of travel and adventure.
Do you want to take on a challenge and raise funds for a good cause at the same time? In 2012 Greenrock is working with The Rowans Hospice in south Hampshire to help them raise £100,000.
Trek to Mt Jhomolhari Base Camp | Bhutan
Western Bhutan (9 days trekking)
April Sat 7 – Sat 21, 2012

We fly to the Land of the Thunder Dragon for this spectacular trek to Mt Jhomolhari Base Camp on the border with Tibet. The trek takes 15 days through bamboo, rhododendron, spruce and pine forests and alongside mountain rivers before clearing the tree line and crossing two high passes with fantastic views of 7000m + peaks. We also visit the stunning Tiger’s Nest Monastery near Paro and finish the trek at Thimphu, Bhutan’s quirky capital, with two days working with the Tarayana Foundation to establish the first hospice in Bhutan.
