This fantastic trek in the Kingdom of the Thunder Dragon features the very best of Bhutan – dzongs (fortress monasteries), high passes (the 4930m Yale La), stunning Himalayan views (Lonely Planet calls Mt Jhomolhari’s Base Camp ‘one of the most spectacular places to camp in the whole Himalaya’), yaks and the ever-friendly Bhutanese people. This trip is to raise funds for The Rowans Hospice (www.rowanshospice.org).
